An itch I cannot get rid of

Chang Chang did not itch further after the extreme experiment. So maybe I can conclude that he is not allergic to chicken but some other ingredient used in the manufacturing of kibbles.

Moglee suggested yeast and true enough, Royal Canin lists yeast as an ingredient but not NB Venison & Peas. Chang Chang is however still licking though we feed him NB exclusively. We suspect that he may have eaten a few kibbles of RC here and there while we are not looking. We will however still persevere with NB and see if there is going to be any improvement in the next couple of months.

The idea to give him Nutro Supplement has also been thrown out as yeast is also listed as an ingredient. In the meantime, we are still searching pet shops for a good and easy to apply supplement.

I think somehow, we have to live with the fact that he is going to itch and be hairless for some time. Poor boy.

Poor poor baby.

I've never heard of a yeast allergy but I guess one can be allergic to anything.

All best.

What a lot of time and work you've put into this investigation! Hope Chang Chang recovers from his allergy soon. But hairless or not, he'll always be handsome!

Mr Chang Chang's legs can now rival the smooth IPL-ed legs of a lot of tai tais. Long, slim, smooth and very hairless. Woohoo! And no hair at the belly and buttocks too. Envy of all tai tais and ladies alike.

He is one only ugly and lazy bum. Never handsome. Just troublesome. :)

Hmm, I can imagine how much time you have to spend to feed Chang Chang, since he is not very interested in food and has to be handfed, and now have to be fed the not-so-popular NB v&p exclusively.

Hope CC won't feel cold on cool nights. :)

Try Ark Natural Nu Pet Feline Granular. It's quite expensive. Otherwise Appelin (sounds like that), multi vits syrup for children can do. In blue and white box, about $12.90 and available in any pharmacy. Mix 1.5ml of the syrup when you give him home cooked food.
