That looks like a nice place to lay around, watch the world go by, and doze a little.
Are there holes cut out of the windows? Seems kind of odd to do that, but that sure is what it looks like from the pictures.
You are right about the holes but they are not cut out from the window. I had placed an acrylic sheet with cut outs on the window grille.
This acts as a mesh to prevent them from venturing out and plunging more than a few storeys to their deaths. The clear acrylic allows light to pass through and the cut outs allow for the breeze to flow through the house.
